75% Grenache, 2% Syrah, 11% Mourvedre and 12% Cinsault.

"An unexpected, difficult and rare vintage, 2021 is distinguished by its magnificent balance, the very fine grain of its tannins. It will remain as one of the vintages where the talent of the winemaker in the vineyard and in the cellar must restore the singularity of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. A powerful appellation, with ample and supple tannins, bright fruit and a smooth balance. I particularly like this combat vintage. It required even more work and effort than ever!" -Isabel Ferrando

Philippe Bravay has been the lead of Domaine de Ferrand since 1997, delighting wine enthusiasts with their Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône offerings.

With a meticulous approach to winemaking, Bravay uses organic methods and minimal intervention to capture the terroir of their 17 hectares of vineyards. The estate's ancient vines, some dating back to 1904, produce wines of impressive complexity and depth.

Bravay's preference for aging in concrete tanks and old foudres instead of barriques, as well as avoiding racking or blending until bottling, brilliantly showcases the wines' unmasked purity and vibrancy.

Perhaps the most famous region in the world. The name means the Popes new castle. The first vines in the region were planted by the ancient Romans while Popes served their Papacy in the region of Avignon.

Grenache is the dominant variety, ripening is intensified through sun reflection off of round stones called galetes roules. Thanks to the Mistral wind blowing south from Dijon, the vines are cooled and protected from mildew, the wind is so intense it could blow the ears off a donkey. To prevent uprooting the vines are often staked down.
