Fattoria la Lecciaia combines a young, dynamic approach to the wine business, while strictly adhering to the antique traditions of Brunello di Montalcino. Located in Localit… Vallafrico and surrounded by the vineyards of some of the most iconic estates of the area, the La Lecciaia is in the centre of the original micro-terroir where the world famous Brunello di Montalcino was first produced. Sant'Antimo is a blend of equal parts Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, all of which were hand harvested in late September/early October and is vinified in steel tanks with controlled temperature for 15/20 days and aged for 18 months in from Slavonian oak casks and barriques.

Tuscany as a broader region includes famous areas including Montalcino and Chianti and of course the famous table wine, the Super Tuscan. The most planted variety is Sangiovese but international varieties are increasing in popularity with the critical acclaim of Super Tuscan style wines.
