Fattoria la Lecciaia combines a young, dynamic approach to the wine business, while strictly adhering to the ancient traditions of Brunello di Montalcino. Located in Localitƒ?? Vallafrico and surrounded by the vineyards of some of the most iconic estates of the area, the La Lecciaia is in the centre of the original micro-terroir where the world famous Brunello di Montalcino was first produced. This gorgeous 100% Sangiovese was hand harvested in late September/early October and is vinified in steel tanks with controlled temperature for 15/20 days and aged for a minimum of 36 months in oak barrels. "Very attractive aromas of cherries and currants with subtle cedar, mahogany and floral character, following through to a full body with a deep center palate of fruit and creamy, refined tannins that carry through the beautiful finish. Succulent and wonderful. I like the minerally undertone to it. Try after 2023." James Suckling, 95 Points?ÿ

Tuscany as a broader region includes famous areas including Montalcino and Chianti and of course the famous table wine, the Super Tuscan. The most planted variety is Sangiovese but international varieties are increasing in popularity with the critical acclaim of Super Tuscan style wines.
