Maison Rosier Blanquette Limoux $21.95
Limoux has a reputation for outstanding sparkling wine of tremendous value, this bottle of bubbles is no exception. This blend of Chardonnay and Mauzac, a local varietal. This wine has frothy bubbles, with notes of white flowers, fresh fruit, and toast. This wine puts everyone in a celebratory mood, especially when paired with Higher & Higher by Jackie Wilson.

Fattori Gregoris 2021 Pinot Grigio $22.95
It takes a skillful winemaker to make a noteworthy Pinot Grigio. This easy-going Pinot Grigio is both decisive and delicate, with notes of yellow apple, pear, white peach, and a slight stony note folded in. We had to pair this wine with an easily laid-back song, like Heaven Falls by Surfaces.

Thierry Delaunay 2021 Holy Snail Sauvignon Blanc $23.95
Thierry Delaunay is a fifth-generation winemaker from Touraine in the Loire Valley. Through the years the demand for his Domaine wines grew so much that he made The Holy Snail portfolio to offer fresh wines from all over the Loire Valley at a very approachable price point. This aromatic wine sings of notes of gooseberry, grapefruit, Asian pear, and lime. Whenever someone comes back into the shop for this wine, they just brighten up like it made their day. So of course, we would pair this with Lovely Day by Bill Withers.

Latido de Sara 2021 Garnacha Blanca $17.95
This fan favourite comes from one of the oldest wineries in Navarra. This white Garnacha is medium-bodied and full of ripe orchard stone fruits – peaches, apricots, yellow plum – with hints of desert flowers and a thirst-quenching freshness. It’s such a store favourite, people buy it by the case lot, we had to pair it with a love song. Listen to Love You for a Long Time by Maggie Rogers next time you open a bottle, because you’re going to want to savour it.

Meiser 2021 Spätburgunder $26.95
Spätburgunder is Pinot Noir from Germany, and this deliciously fruit-forward offering from the Meiser family is a perfect option if you are looking for examples that showcase fully ripe berry fruit as opposed to the barnyard/earthy styles that some Pinot Noirs can fall under. Pair this wistful treat with Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.

Domaine Lafond 2021 Côtes du Rhône $24.95
The Lafond’s are a multi-generational family winery working to protect their legacy through organic practices across the Southern Rhône. The fruit for their Côtes du Rhône is sourced from their vineyards near Tavel, to the northern part of the region, resulting in more elegant and fresh wines. This blend of Grenache and Syrah shows blackcurrant, bramble, and cherry notes. You can get lost in easy drinking bottle and watch the tide roll away. We’d pair it with Sitting on the Dock of the Bay by Otis Redding.

Taurino 2011 Salice Salentino Rosso $26.95
This Italian blend of 80% Negroamaro and 20% Malvasia Nera is sure to become a weekend staple. The fresh aromas of dark cherry and subtle baking spice are supported by a bright palate of lively red berries, dark plums, and smoky underbrush. This wine has been a long-time favourite in the shop, it’s classic label and generational appeal reminds us of the nostalgic vibes that we get when listening to Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles

Jeff Carrel 2020 Les Darons $21.95
This is our go to recommendation for gifts because this wine has such broad appeal. Made up of mostly Grenache and some Syrah and Carignan grapes from mostly from older vines in the Minervois region. Deep purple and offers a sensational perfume of blueberries, blackberries, licorice, ground pepper, and earth. This beautifully concentrated wine is so dependable like My Girl by the Temptations.

Heartland 2019 Stickleback- $17.95
The Heartland is esteemed Australian winemaker Ben Glaetzer’s project to showcase the quality of wine from Langhorne Creek, a lesser-known area until he started working there. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Lagrein and Dolcetto work to create a round, spicy Australian blend. The blend of classic Australian varieties and up and coming Italian varieties reminds us of the epic remake of Elton John’s classic Cold Heart with Dua Lipa.

Beckstone 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon $34.95
We had to sneak this wine in. Although we just brought this wine in for the first time in December, it literally flew out of the store and was our top selling wine in December. Beckstone is part of a new project from our friend Robert Larson in Washington. We love this Cabernet for being budget friendly and elegant. Notes of sweet fruits like ripe strawberries, blackberries, plum and a delicate dusting of cocoa powder. Earthy spices begin to layer mid-palate, as well as notes of blueberries, cloves and a balanced minerality. The finish is soothing with a lingering sensation of dark caramel and toffee. This wine is doing the most, like the Rolling Stones in in Beast of Burden.
